Graphics
How good does this game look? It looks amazing, with a ton of scenery and explosions to get lost in. Although not high on every single detail, BF offers a lot to really push the engine in the Xbox. As players traverse through the levels, there are certain nooks and hiding spots for snipers. Although a lot of these areas can be accessed just by swapping to a near by soldier. In a nutshell the video game offers a lot to be explored and most certainly a decent amount of graphics for the system, its fun and a lot of details are carried out with either simplicity or directivity of real life weaponry or gun physics.
No more will enemies simply drop in place when a grenade explodes less then a foot away. Battlefield certainly appeases all, even though I can’t comment that the graphics are as equally jaw dropping as its pc counterpart, it certainly paves the way as a decent experience graphically.
Control
The very controls of the game are quite blissful, even anyone can simply jump in and snipe without much effort within the first few moments. The control scheme being set across the two triggers, face buttons and analog controls are reminiscent of Halo 2. As the controls such as walking, jumping and aiming all stay very tight, there is a bit lacking feeling with swapping weapons & reloading. It becomes second nature but during a gun fight I found myself a bit fumbled over the button working. Not only is control very basic and easy to get into from the beginning, turning the quite average troops into commandos takes place at a very rapid rate. With everything becoming second nature after so long, it becomes quite easy to get into control with almost every vehicle except for that of the tank. It was quite annoying to reverse your controls once you started going in one direction, believe me, when you get in a tank you’ll understand my plight. Besides the tank and beginner’s learning curve, BF 2 handles extremely well.
Overall
Although first timers to the series can pick up the game without any problems, the direct port from PC isn’t the exact replica and might leave a few veterans upset. With the narrow ended amount of online play, and story focused game play it leaves less time to focus on other things on the PC user side.
